Hi, I’m Asawari Padhye, a children’s book author and illustrator from India.

I’m an engineer by education and an artist at heart. Books have been my companions since childhood, offering comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging. Through my stories and illustrations, I hope to create that same feeling for young readers.

Storytelling lies at the heart of my work. Inspired by memories and imagination, I create illustrations filled with expressive characters, warm emotions, and playful moments that feature humans and animals alike.

I’ve been part of the SCBWI community since 2022 and am currently building my portfolio while writing and illustrating my first picture book, with many more stories waiting to be told.

When I’m not drawing, you’ll probably find me reading, practicing Kathak or yoga, watching animated films, or taking slow walks in nature.
